"Study this like it's your bible and you won't go wrong." – Ron Hernandez
Do you already know how to write code? Can you complete a simple project from start to finish by yourself? Then this book is for you
Code For Cash is written for people who already know how to code. It's beneficial for people who are already consulting or freelancing, as well as those who have not started yet.
Working as a freelance software consultant is a lifestyle that can be a path to more freedom, a feeling of control in one's life, and a more effective hourly rate for your time.
The book maps out the skills that are most important for you to develop in order to thrive in the business of software consulting. It gives you the step-by-step concrete paths to achieving competence, as well as explaining some of the abstract theory.
"This is a very valuable read for anyone who's considering to break into consulting. Most of the advice certainly resonated with my past experiences in consulting. As a software developer, some aspects of consulting such as tax law aren't really my strong suit, and the book offers a lot of insight into tax and contract law, as well as how to source and hand-hold clients. I recommend anyone in a similar situation to give it a read." – Nicolas Bevacqua
