“A DISHONOURABLE PROFESSION by John Eidemak is a fascinating book, full of elegant surprises, sophisticated twist and turns. Not to mention a plot to die for.” - Joe Kirkeby
Alex Martell’s aim in life is to gain influence. He has talent and determination, but as Alex and his two best friends struggle to start their dream, they decide to cast their morals aside.
Alex has had a military career and starts working for a small auto tool company in London, with a production factory in Albania. Alex becomes aware that the Albanian factory could possibly manufacture the machine gun which Alex has designed. That is if its factory owners in Albania can be persuaded to take that moral step.
Meanwhile, on the other side of London, Gemma Lott is building up her computer game company with honest hard graft. After experiencing family tragedy, her sole focus is to dominate the gaming market to give herself and her oldest friend, the outrageous Karla, a steady income.
Then one day, by a simple act of fate, Alex and Gemma’s paths cross and they fall deeply in love. However, Alex keeps the dark secret of his business from Gemma - unable to tell her that the tool company in London, which he now owns, is a front for selling machine guns to terrorist organizations.
Years pass and the Martells’ comfortable and seemingly happy life is suddenly devastated when Gemma stumbles upon the truth about her husband’s dishonourable profession.
Shocked and horrified, she is confronted by the dilemma: should she stand by her principles - or stand by her man?
